Order Cancellations
- We charge a shipping fee of $20.00 per order plus $2.00 per root on all peony orders.
- Kansas residents pay 7.65% sales tax on purchased items but not on shipping. Out-of-state customers will not be charged sales tax.
- Due to Dept. of Agriculture restrictions, we can only ship peonies to addresses within the United States.
Local Pickup
- If you live nearby and prefer to pick up your order in-person, simply select that option during checkout. Please disregard the automated "ready for pickup" date and time generated during checkout as availability of items is seasonal and will depend on when you place your order. We will contact you by email and/or telephone during shipping season (see below) to let you know when your order is available and ready to be picked up.
Shipping Season
- We start digging peonies the first week in September, weather permitting, and start shipping in late September, finishing by the middle of October. Orders are shipped in the order in which they were received. All orders will receive planting instructions and tips for growing peonies successfully.
Substitutions
- Since we are at the mercy of Mother Nature, we do from time to time have to make substitutions for certain peonies you may have ordered. In these infrequent cases, we will always substitute a similar root of equal or greater value. If you are unwilling to accept substitutions, please contact us after you place your order (but before shipping season) so we can make other arrangements.
Guarantee
- We ship generous 3-5 eye divisions of quality stock that is inspected and certified to be disease free by the Kansas Department of Agriculture. We do not substitute varieties without your permission and ship only fresh bare root divisions that we grow in our own fields.
- We guarantee the plants to be healthy upon arrival and true to name when flowered. Our roots are packed in moist sphagnum peat moss during transport. Upon receipt of your order, please open promptly. Notify us within 7 days after delivery if your shipment was damaged or does not meet your expectations. Please contact us immediately to then arrange return shipment for a refund or replacement.
- Once our plants arrive at your home, we cannot guarantee that they will live and thrive due to circumstances and weather conditions beyond our control. If you are uncertain if peonies will grow in your region, just contact us prior to purchase to determine if they are appropriate for your area.
Order Cancellations
- If you wish to cancel your order before the fall digging begins, the Square processing fee will be deducted from your refund. If you cancel your order after digging begins, a $25 cancellation fee will be charged in addition to the Square processing fee.
